Did a short ride around the coast of Kamakura and Enoshima this weekend to change things up from my usual routes. Enoshima Island is a popular attraction with many shrines and gorgeous views of the coast. On a clear day, the island has a great view of Mt. Fuji; however, it was too foggy on the day I went. I also rode up to Kamakura to see the large Buddha, but was turned away for bringing my bike onto the property. The jitensha parking lot up there is simply an empty lot with no poles or racks to lock up to, so it’s not quite track-bike friendly, oh well.
